1st MINI ALBUM
2016-05-04AKMU, an artist duo singing relatable day-to-day stories with a special sentiment, has made a comeback with its new album[사춘기 상(思春記 上)]. Two years after its 2014 debut album [PLAY], AKMU has chosen “adolescence” as their title theme, a phase everyone experiences at some point in their lives. While adolescence is usually associated with a temporary, sensitive, and complicated period, AKMU views it as a time when everyone, regardless of age, can experience the arrival of "spring in thought (思春)." They have captured the emotions of these moments in songs in their album [사춘기 상 (思春記 上)]. Title tracks "RE-BYE" and "How People Move" are representative of adolescent emotions. The jazz-pop "RE-BYE" expresses the desire to avoid pain from repeated goodbyes both big and small, while "How People Move" captures the unending curiosity of everyday human movements through a funky sound. Each track tells a different story, captivating the audience with contrasting charm. The album [사춘기 상 (思春記 上)] consists of six tracks, including the lovely portrayal of mutual attraction between two people in “Haughty Girl,” the refreshing sound of "Green Window", the gratitude for the small things in life in the jazz-pop "Every Little Thing", and the emptiness and loneliness felt when realizing one's differences in "Around". AKMU's unique perspective and distinct sensibilities shine through this album, filled with a variety of relatable emotions. CHANHYUK's production and SUHYUN's delicate, comforting voice harmoniously intertwine, offering a warm gift that brings spring to your mind as you listen.
