Last May, AKMU graced us with their warm spring sunshine with [사춘기 상 (SPRING)]
. Now, marking January 2017, they’ve returned to our side with their full album [사춘기 하 (WINTER)], as a New Year’s gift. Let’s see how AKMU’s adolescence has changed after seven months.
In their previous album [사춘기 상 (SPRING)], AKMU's adolescence was a period of change in thoughts and emotions that could come to anyone at any time, a time when “spring (春) comes to thoughts (思).” In their following full album [사춘기 하 (WINTER)], they sing about maturing emotions as time passes, and through those emotions, they express their heartfelt and warm lyrics, as if writing them in a diary.
This full album [사춘기 하 (WINTER)] by AKMU consists of eight tracks arranged in chronological order, from the moment of birth to returning home and reminiscing about past memories. Moreover, listeners can experience a variety of genres within AKMU's deepened adolescent sensibility, from ballads enriched with acoustic guitar melodies and rich string sounds, to vintage-inspired emotional songs with a jazzy and soulful vibe, to modern folk-pop with an impressive funky guitar loop.
