YANG HYUN-SUK EXECUTIVE PRODUCER ANNOUNCES BABYMONSTER'S 2024 PLAN

RELEASING A NEW SONG IN FEB 1ST, THE FIRST MINI ALBUM IN APR 1ST

YG's executive producer Yang Hyun-Suk has released a blueprint for BABYMONSTER's 2024 activities with speed and aggressive promotions.

YG Entertainment posted a video of "BABYMONSTER NEXT PHASE | YG Announcement" on its official blog at 0am on Jan. 1st, 2024. After the announcement of the final member of YG's next-generation girl group 'BABYMONSTER' in May, Yang Hyun-Suk, the executive producer, officially appeared and explained their plans for future activities.

The executive producer is leading BABYMONSTER's training and the process after their debut. "Most of 2NE1 and BLACKPINK members debuted in their 20s, so I treated them more as junior singers in this field," he said. "The youngest CHIQUITA is now 14 years old and one year older than my daughter," he said with a smile. "I feel like I'm taking care of them as if they are my own daughters," he said, expressing that he is striving for them with the same sincerity as their parents.

With all-round support from YG Entertainment and Yang Hyun-Suk, BABYMONSTER will release its second new song on Feb. 1st. The title is 'Stuck In The Middle'. "I think it's a song that YG has never released before," said Yang Hyun-Suk. "The members' excellent singing and unique voices make me so focused that I don't want to miss any small breaths."

Like his introduction to the new song, the band is expected to come back to show another charm. It is because the executive producer chose a totally different style from BABYMONSTER’s debut song, "BATTER UP" which showed a solid hip-hop genre. It is interpreted as an intention to encourage the girls to grow into an artist-type group that transcends various genres through music, showing a broader musical spectrum.

Following the release of 'Stuck in the Middle', Yang Hyun-Suk also reported on the release of BABYMONSTER’s first mini album in April. This is YG's new way of promoting the album, which actively reflects fans' opinions and adds a sense of speed to the existing style. The two-month road map has been unveiled. BABYMONSTER, officially debuted in late November, will release a new song in February of the following year with a musical variation and will make its comeback with the first mini album in April. It is expected that global music fans will go wild with the band A.K.A., the "K-pop game changer."
