YG’s BABYMONSTER, Emotional Vocals Hit the Mark… AHYEON’s Return Confirmed for ‘April Full Line-Up’

YG’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER has proven their overwhelming vocal abilities with a pre-release track, setting the stage for their full-fledged activities in April.

BABYMONSTER released their new song ‘Stuck In The Middle’ at midnight on the 1st. This pop ballad, possessing a different charm from their intense hip-hop debut track ‘BATTER UP,’ had already garnered significant attention from global music fans.

The members’ pure emotional voices deeply resonated, delicately expressing the confusion of first love with restrained emotion, leading listeners into a beautiful fantasy world akin to a music video.

The vocal management, naturally alternating between falsetto and full voice, was exceptional for a rookie group. The attractive tones of the solo parts combined with high notes in the latter part created a perfect harmony, leaving a profound aftertaste.

The music video, featuring the members in beautiful dresses and a dreamlike visual aesthetic, perfectly matched the song, earning rave reviews. Despite being a ballad without elaborate dance performances, it achieved 210,000 concurrent viewers on its Youtube Premiere, and surpassed 3.6 million views within 10 hours of release.

Moreover, as the song is entirely in English, it precisely targeted global fans. Amidst widespread praise, ‘Stuck In The Middle’ simultaneously topped the iTunes song charts in eight countries upon its release, gradually expanding its popularity.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER plans to release their first mini-album on April 1st, following this pre-release track ‘Stuck In The Middle.’ With this album, member AHYEON will return, and the group will resume activities as a seven-member ensemble. Following attention from the U.S. Billboard, the Grammy’s have also recently highlighted BABYMONSTER as a K-pop rookie to watch, raising expectations for their future endeavors after the mini-album release.
