YG’s BABYMONSTER’s ‘Stuck In The Middle’ Special Stage to be First Revealed on the 8th
YG’s new girl group BABYMONSTER will be making the first reveal of their pre-release song ‘Stuck In The Middle’ special stage at midnight on the 8th.
YG Entertainment posted a poster on its official social media on the 5th to announce this. The poster features a set with a dreamy atmosphere amidst pouring starlight, and a grand piano at the center, conjuring the image of a fantasy fairy tale.
The live stage of ‘Stuck In The Middle,’ imbued with BABYMONSTER’s graceful vocal abilities and unique sensibility, is highly anticipated as it unveils for the first time. Having proven their ‘all-rounder’ skills through various content and receiving acclaim from music fans, interest is focused on how they will steal the hearts of global fans with a new look.
‘Stuck In The Middle’ is a song that delicately portrays the confusing experience of first love, with BABYMONSTER’s vocal tone and restrained emotion line over a soft piano melody. The music video, capturing the members’ dress visuals and splendid visual beauty, has also received a positive response.
The music video quickly topped the list of ‘most viewed videos within 24 hours’ upon release and went straight to number one on the global YouTube daily popular music videos. Even as a ballad completed solely with vocals, it is rapidly increasing views and is on the verge of surpassing 30 million views.
The song’s performance on various global charts is also notable. It has ranked at the top of local major music streaming sites’ music video charts, such as Japan’s Line Music and China’s QQ Music. The song also dominated the iTunes song charts in 10 countries, securing a place in the upper ranks of the worldwide chart, and topped QQ Music’s ‘rising chart,’ which tallies the fastest-growing streaming numbers.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER plans to release their first mini-album on April 1st, following the pre-release song ‘Stuck In The Middle.’ With this album, member AHYEON will return, and the group plans to actively promote as a seven-member ensemble. Following Billboard, the Grammy’s recently also highlighted BABYMONSTER as a K-pop rookie to watch, raising expectations for their activities following the mini-album release.
