YG Entertainment Collaborates with Japan’s Avex for Joint Audition After 8 Years
YG Entertainment is set to hold a public audition in collaboration with Avex, a major Japanese entertainment company.
According to YG on the 13th, the “YG x Avex Audition 2024” will be held across 10 sessions in seven major Japanese cities starting in Sapporo, followed by Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, Sendai, and Okinawa. This joint audition, conducted in cooperation between the two entertainment companies, marks the first of its kind in about 8 years since the “YOUNGUNS AUDITION” in 2016.
The audition process will include an online video review followed by on-site auditions. Selected applicants will then go through additional evaluations.
Individuals born between 2003 and 2013, regardless of gender or nationality, are eligible to apply. Applications are accepted online only, starting from today until March 10.
YG has previously produced well-known acts such as BIGBANG, BLACKPINK, WINNER, iKON, and TREASURE. Most recently, they launched the girl group BABYMONSTER.
