BABYMONSTER is set to make their mark as YG Entertainment’s next-generation girl group on a stage that captures the attention of music fans worldwide.

According to YG Entertainment on March 14, BABYMONSTER will perform at ‘SUMMER SONIC 2024’ held at Zozo Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, on August 18.

‘SUMMER SONIC’ is a large-scale urban music festival in Japan featuring top local artists as well as world-renowned musicians. Considering that BABYMONSTER has not yet started their full-fledged activities, the global music market holds high expectations for them.

Their potential was proven with just two singles. ‘BATTER UP’ dominated the charts, taking the number one spot on China’s largest music site QQ Music’s MV chart, iTunes song charts in 21 countries, and Japan’s largest platform Line Music’s MV chart. It also became the first debut song of the year to enter the US iTunes Top 50. ‘Stuck In The Middle’ showcased the vocal abilities of the members, receiving praise from music fans worldwide.

This appearance at ‘SUMMER SONIC’ is the first external schedule announced for BABYMONSTER. The expectation for active promotions was anticipated with the release of their first mini-album ‘BABYMONS7ER’ as a complete seven-member group after AHYEON’s joining. It marks the beginning of their strategy aimed at the global music market. The future activities of BABYMONSTER, including domestic music broadcasts, are drawing keen interest.

BABYMONSTER consists of members from diverse backgrounds: three from Korea (AHYEON, RAMI, RORA), two from Thailand (PHARITA, CHIQUITA), and two from Japan (RUKA, ASA). Under systematic training, they have mastered languages including Korean, English, Japanese, Thai, and Chinese. Their first mini-album ‘BABYMONS7ER’ will be released on April 1.
