BABYMONSTER Confirms First Fan Meeting Tour, Sets Sights on Global Debut
YG’s new girl group, BABYMONSTER, has announced their first fan meeting tour ahead of their official debut on April 1, signaling a bold leap into the global market.
YG Entertainment revealed that BABYMONSTER will be hosting their first fan meeting tour [BABYMONSTER PRESENTS: SEE YOU THERE], beginning in Tokyo, Japan, and moving through five Asian regions including Jakarta, Indonesia, Singapore, Taipei, and Bangkok, Thailand.
The outline of vigorous activities promised by YG is becoming clearer. Previously, BABYMONSTER announced their first external schedule, appearing at Japan’s largest music festival, ‘Summer Sonic 2024.’ The fan meeting will further expand their domain, firing the starting shot for their formal global launch.
As this will be the first time meeting fans after their official debut, BABYMONSTER plans to interact closely with fans through a variety of segments. The performance of the complete seven-member group is also a highlight, especially with all members already recognized as ‘all-rounders’ and the addition of member AHYEON expected to bring greater synergy.
YG commented, “To repay the love and support from fans even before our debut, we’ve prepared this opportunity to meet them in person. The cute drawing on the poster was also done by the members to express their gratitude. Moreover, we are preparing activities for our domestic fans, including music broadcasts, so please show your interest and support.”
BABYMONSTER will release their first mini album [BABYMONS7ER] on April 1 at midnight. The album includes a total of seven tracks, such as the dark hip-hop title track ‘SHEESH,’ ‘LIKE THAT’ featuring pop star Charlie Puth, ‘MONSTERS (Intro),’ ‘Stuck In The Middle (7 Ver.),’ ‘BATTER UP (7 Ver.),’ ‘DREAM,’ and ‘Stuck In The Middle (Remix).’
Especially, YG EXECUTIVE PRODUCER YANG HYUN SUK expressed confidence in the title track ‘SHEESH,’ saying, “The chorus is so strong, I think many will follow along. The choreography is very fun and addictive, so you can look forward to it.” This has drawn heightened interest in the new musical world BABYMONSTER will unveil.
