YANG HYUN SUK Announces BABYMONSTER’s Debut Date for April 1st and Unveils Their Tracklist

YG’s new girl group BABYMONSTER is set to make their official debut on April 1st.

YG Entertainment revealed ‘BABYMONS7ER | YG ANNOUNCEMENT (Track Introduction)’ on their official blog on March 18th. The video, released two weeks before the launch of BABYMONSTER’s first mini album on April 1st, features an interview with YANG HYUN SUK, the executive producer who has been leading the project.

YANG HYUN SUK expressed confidence, saying, “The chorus is so powerful that I think many will follow along. The choreography is very fun and addictive, so you can look forward to it.”

The third track ‘LIKE THAT,’ personally worked on by global pop star Charlie Puth for BABYMONSTER, has also been included. Previously, AHYEON covered ‘Dangerously,’ drawing praise from Charlie Puth and fans worldwide. YANG commented, “It’s a big gift from an artist that both the members and I love. I believe you all will enjoy it as well.”

In addition, the album includes tracks like ‘MONSTERS (Intro),’ expressing their ambition to reach out to the world, a more special ‘Stuck In The Middle (7 Ver.)’ and ‘BATTER UP (7 Ver.)’ with all members, ‘DREAM’ which was the highlight of their debut reality show, and a lively re-arranged ‘Stuck In The Middle (Remix),’ all of which are expected to receive positive responses.

In Particular, YANG confirmed this album as BABYMONSTER’s official debut, teasing various activities including music show appearances, exciting fans. He shared, “We are thinking about various events and performances to directly meet fans. This is the first activity as a complete group of seven members. I ask for your louder support for BABYMONSTER.”

At the end of the interview, a video for ‘MONSTERS (Intro)’ was revealed. The composition, which adds an addictive beat to synth sounds, offers a sense of overwhelming presence. The lyrics “There’s a new kind of monster” “Gonna be getting stronger with every step we take” were presented in a sensory kinetic typography. As BABYMONSTER prepares to make their grand start, there is growing interest in what kind of music and performance they will surprise the world’s music fans with.
