BABYMONSTER’s Title Track “SHEESH” Features Main Choreography by BADA

The choreography for “SHEESH,” the official debut track of the rookie group BABYMONSTER, was created with the collaboration of top domestic and international choreographers, among which BADA’s choreography was selected as the main routine. This was completed with additional contributions from another domestic team, including Chae Dasom and Jo Nain, YG announced on the 26th.

BADA is a choreographer who has collaborated with numerous K-pop artists and has been responsible for the choreography behind many hit songs. She gained significant attention from music fans for her role as the leader of Bebe on the cable channel Mnet’s “Street Woman Fighter 2,” leading her team to victory and setting trends with challenges on platforms like TikTok.

YG EXECUTIVE PRODUCER YANG HYUN SUK has historically overseen the choreography decisions for all YG artists including BLACKPINK, BIGBANG, 2NE1, and TREASURE. The decision to go with choreography by domestic teams who are first-time collaborators rather than the famous choreographers YANG has worked with in the past is a highly unusual move within YG. This indicates how much effort YANG is putting into ensuring BABYMONSTER’s debut stands out.

BABYMONSTER will officially debut with the release of their first mini album [BABYMONS7ER] at midnight on April 1st. The title track of their first mini album is the hip-hop genre song “SHEESH,” which features a strong and dark concept.

With the release of their mini album, BABYMONSTER will begin their first official promotional activities. They plan to become familiar to domestic fans through various broadcasting activities, including music programs and fan signing events. Furthermore, they will embark on a fan meeting tour starting in Tokyo, Japan, and extending to Jakarta, Indonesia; Singapore; Taipei, Taiwan; and Bangkok, Thailand, covering five regions in Asia. They will also participate in Japan’s largest music festival, “Summer Sonic 2024,” as part of their global expansion efforts.
