BABYMONSTER Wins Over Billboard and Forbes in the US with Their Astonishing Debut

YG’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER has turned on the green light for their global march by capturing the spotlight of major foreign media outlets upon their official debut.

The American music specialty media Billboard introduced BABYMONSTER’s new title song ‘SHEESH’ on the 1st (local time) as a ‘song worth paying attention to,’ praising it as a track that “makes you exclaim in astonishment, just like its title.” It also lauded the song’s musical completeness, saying, “It’s a track with an amazing balance, where intensity is appropriately blended within its diverse development.

The economic magazine Forbes significantly covered the overwhelming power of BABYMONSTER on YouTube and their popularity. The outlet analyzed, “From the moment of its release until now, it has maintained the No. 1 spot on the charts among competitive artists, proving that they have already secured a considerable global fanbase.”

It continued, “This signals that the world should pay attention to BABYMONSTER as the next K-pop stars to rise. The achievement itself is impressive, but it also firmly indicates that they will show much more in the future.”

BABYMONSTER’s music video for ‘SHEESH’ headed straight to the top of YouTube’s Global Daily Popular Music Video Chart upon its release at midnight on the 1st, maintaining the No. 1 spot for four consecutive days. With the weekly chart domination also in sight, the current views have surpassed 64.3 million in an unceasing upward trend. The official YouTube channel has more than 4.9 million subscribers.

Meanwhile, starting with an appearance on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ on the 7th, BABYMONSTER will interact with fans through various contents and fan signing events. Furthermore, they will expand their global presence with an Asia fan meeting tour in five regions including Tokyo, Japan; Jakarta, Indonesia; Singapore; Taipei; and Bangkok, Thailand, and by appearing at Japan’s largest music festival, ‘Summer Sonic 2024’.
