YG’s new girl group BABYMONSTER is garnering global music fans’ responses with their official debut song “SHEESH,” revealing the behind-the-scenes stories filled with their extraordinary passion for dance practice.

YG Entertainment posted “BABYMONSTER – ‘SHEESH’ DANCE PRACTICE BEHIND” on their official social media on April 10. The video captures the members sweating it out in practice sessions for a perfect performance of the new song “SHEESH.”

As BABYMONSTER commenced their first practice with a bright greeting, they meticulously focused on the details. Given the importance of lines and angles in their choreography, the members repeated their moves, adding a delicate expressiveness that matched the song with their incredible concentration, enhancing the completeness of their performance.

Behind their professional demeanor, their rest times were filled with youthful charm. Engaging with the camera or exuding playful energy brought smiles, and their encouragement of one another over small mistakes showcased a strong team spirit, delighting fans.

Through continuous daily practice, BABYMONSTER’s performance evolved into its ‘final form.’ The members quickly absorbed advice from YG EXECUTIVE PRODUCER YANG HYUN SUK and the choreographers, showcasing natural gestures infused with a ‘hip’ aura, powerful dance lines, and perfect harmony, eliciting admiration.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER has been riding a wave of global popularity since releasing their first mini album [BABYMONS7ER] at midnight on April 1. The album set a new record for the highest first-week sales for a K-pop girl group debut album, selling 401,287 copies in a week. The music video for the title track “SHEESH” is on its way to 100 million views on YouTube, and their channel subscribers have surpassed 5 million as their activities gain momentum.

The “SHEESH” track itself has achieved remarkable success. It quickly reached the highest debut position for a K-pop girl group this year (69th) on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global Chart and has been climbing steadily. Moreover, it has reached its all-time highs on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S charts, landing at 87th and 35th positions, respectively.
