BABYMONSTER Continues Chart Success with ‘SHEESH,’ Marking Six Consecutive Weeks on the Billboard
YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER has made a strong impression on the global music scene by marking their sixth consecutive week on the US Billboard main charts.
According to the latest charts released by Billboard on May 14 (local time), BABYMONSTER’s lead track from their 1st mini album, ‘SHEESH,’ ranked 23rd on the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S) and 57th on the Billboard Global 200 charts.
Since its release on April 9, ‘SHEESH’ has consistently stayed within the top rankings, initially entering at 35th and 87th respectively. The rankings are based on streaming and music sales (downloads) data collected from over 200 regions worldwide, indicating BABYMONSTER’s expanding presence in the music industry.
‘SHEESH’ has also achieved notable success on various global charts, charting for 43 days and five consecutive weeks on Spotify’s Global Daily and Weekly Top Song charts, nearing a total of 80 million streams.
The popularity continues on YouTube, where the music video for ‘SHEESH’ set records for the fastest K-pop girl group debut song to reach 100 million views (in 10 days) and 200 million views (in 33 days). Their performance video, praised for its overwhelming stage presence, is also close to surpassing 100 million views.
BABYMONSTER opened their first fan meeting tour with sold-out shows on May 11 and 12 at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena. They will continue to expand their global reach with upcoming stops in Jakarta, Indonesia on June 8, Singapore on June 15, Taipei on June 23, and Bangkok, Thailand on June 29 and 30.
