TREASURE to Release New Track ‘KING KONG’ on May 28, CHOI HYUN SUK and YOSHI as Contributing Lyricists

YG Entertainment announced today that TREASURE’s latest single will be titled ‘KING KONG.’ The name evokes images of the fearless film character who would do anything for his loved one. This title connects with previous teasers, including an unfinished message ‘MY LOVE IS LIKE ________.’ and posters warning of a ‘powerful presence.’

The newly revealed poster captures attention with its unusual atmosphere. Amidst thick grey clouds shrouded in darkness, a solitary but magnificent structure emits a mysterious aura, heightening curiosity about the new concept that TREASURE will unveil.

The impressive lineup of creators etched on the poster also draws interest. Members CHOI HYUN SUK and YOSHI have contributed to the lyrics, while a formidable team of producers including AiRPLAY, Jared Lee, and CHOICE37 have collaborated, raising anticipation about the outcome of their efforts.

TREASURE’s digital single ‘KING KONG’ is set to be released at 6 PM on May 28. YG stated, “The members have maximized their unique energetic vibe with intense charisma. The track will feature a trendy and distinctive sound, offering a fresh experience different from TREASURE’s previous music.”

Meanwhile, TREASURE is currently on their second Asian tour, ‘2024 TREASURE RELAY TOUR [REBOOT],’ which spans five cities with nine shows. After a successful opening show in Manila, they will meet fans in Hong Kong on May 18, in Bangkok from May 23 to 26, in Kuala Lumpur on June 22, and in Jakarta on June 29-30. Starting in July, they will begin a fan meeting tour in Japan, aiming to further boost their global popularity.
