YG’s YANG HYUN SUK Unveils Upcoming Plans for TREASURE and BABYMONSTER in H2 2024

On May 20, YG’s Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK revealed the roadmap for the second half of 2024 for BABYMONSTER and TREASURE, promising vigorous activities in response to the fans’ love.

On its official social media on May 20, YG Entertainment posted “BABYMONSTER / TREASURE | YG ANNOUNCEMENT (2024 Release Plan)”. The video interview with YANG HYUN SUK suggests that all staff are fully committed to preparing for the artists’ comebacks.

YANG HYUN SUK, who leads the music and creative departments, reported earlier this year that the number of internal producers had increased from about 10 to 40-50. He had also promised a more rapid progression of projects.

The work on BABYMONSTER’s first full album has gained momentum. YANG HYUN SUK stated, “We will definitely release the full album around September or October. Before that, we plan to pre-release a new song in early July.”

Moreover, a performance video for the debut album track ‘LIKE THAT’ will be released in May. The song ‘SHEESH’, gifted directly by Charlie Puth to BABYMONSTER, has received significant affection for its unique charm. YG explained that this release is a response to fans’ requests, which have been carefully listened to and secretly prepared for.

TREASURE is also gearing up for a dense schedule of new song releases followed by an album release. YANG HYUN SUK commented, “TREASURE will be quite busy with their Asia tour, but fortunately, there is a 2-3 week gap. I am glad to have the opportunity to introduce new music to everyone.”

He added, “The new tracks might be quite different from what we have released so far. The keyword ‘KING KONG’ itself is strong, so expect a performance filled with energy.” He also promised that TREASURE’s album due this fall would be made with utmost effort.

Meanwhile, TREASURE will release their digital single ‘KING KONG’ on May 28 at 6 PM and continue their second Asia tour across five cities with nine shows. BABYMONSTER is expanding its global reach with a fan meeting tour, and the first show in Tokyo was a sell-out, including the additional seats, totaling 26,000 tickets sold.
