2NE1 To Make a Spectacular Return… Solo Concert Confirmed for 15th Debut Anniversary in October

The group 2NE1 is celebrating their 15th debut anniversary with a solo concert, announcing the splendid return of the legendary girl group.

According to YG Entertainment on the 25th, 2NE1 will hold the ‘2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN SEOUL’ at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul, for two days from October 5th to 6th.

The concert title [WELCOME BACK] expresses 2NE1’s joy of reuniting with their fans. This solo concert is their first in approximately 10 years and 6 months since ‘[ALL OR NOTHING] in SEOUL’ in March 2014, and the ticket reservation fever is already intense.

The complete comeback of 2NE1, the starting point of YG’s girl group legend, is drawing more attention. The members, who dominated the music industry with their outstanding live performances and unrivaled stage presence during their active period, proved their enduring skills and popularity at the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, leaving a strong impression on the global stage.

Their collaboration with Chief Producer Yang Hyun-suk is expected to create exceptional synergy. Previously, Yang had announced his full support for 2NE1’s comeback. The concert is anticipated to be a festival opening a new chapter for 2NE1, combining YG’s know-how as a ‘performance powerhouse’ accumulated through world tours and the members’ unchanging live performance prowess.

YG stated, “As this is a monumental year marking their 15th debut anniversary and a dramatic reunion with 2NE1, there was a strong will to start their performances within this year. Although performances are confirmed at the World Hall in Kobe, Japan at the end of November, and Ariake Arena in Tokyo at the beginning of December, the members strongly wished to start in Korea first, which we actively reflected.”

However, it is common practice to book concert venues several months in advance, both domestically and internationally. Despite doing our best to find venues available this year, larger venues were already fully booked, and securing the Olympic Hall was very fortunate.

YG added, “As soon as the Seoul concert was announced, there was a huge wave of anticipation, so fierce ticketing competition is expected. We regret not being able to accommodate more fans in Korea, but we will repay with a high-quality performance and bring more good news in the future, so please look forward to it.”

Starting with the Seoul concert on October 5th and 6th, 2NE1 will expand their global tour schedule beyond Kobe and Tokyo. For the worldwide fans who have been waiting for these miraculously realized performances, they plan to visit as many countries as possible by next year.
