BABYMONSTER Successfully Completes Fan Meeting in Kobe, Japan, Expanding Global Influence
YG’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER has successfully concluded the final overseas performance of their debut fan meeting tour, signaling their rise as a global trend.
On the 30th and 31st of last month, BABYMONSTER hosted “[BABYMONSTER PRESENTS: SEE YOU THERE] FINAL” at World Hall in Kobe, Japan. Originally planned for only two sessions, the event expanded to three due to overwhelming ticket demand and sold out seats even on weekdays.
BABYMONSTER heated the venue with a wide-ranging setlist comparable to a concert, featuring performances from their official debut song “SHEESH,” to “LIKE THAT,” “BATTER UP,” and the newly introduced “FOREVER,” all delivered with flawless live performances that had the audience rocking.
The event was also enlivened by various segments allowing fans to fully enjoy BABYMONSTER’s delightful energy and charm. The members engaged the audience with activities like song guessing and dance challenges, and especially during the encore stage, where they performed remix versions and freely swapped parts, drawing heated responses from the crowd.
BABYMONSTER expressed their joy, “We finally have a name for our fans—MONSTIEZ. It was so happy to hear MONSTIEZ cheer and enjoy themselves. We look forward to showing you more great things in the future, and let’s definitely meet again next time.”
With this, BABYMONSTER has completed a series of ten performances in six cities, including Tokyo, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, Bangkok, and Kobe, greatly broadening their engagement with global fans. They will conclude their tour with a finale on August 10 and 11 at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall in Seoul.
Recently, BABYMONSTER has adorned the billboards of Tokyo’s streets, cementing their presence as the next global hopefuls. With the music video teaser for their new song “FOREVER” being broadcast in key areas of Shinjuku and Shibuya, anticipation for these rising stars is expected to grow even further.
