2NE1’s solo concert, marking their 15th debut anniversary, continues to add dates, proving their unwavering global influence and fan support.
According to YG Entertainment on September 2, the Japan tour “2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN JAPAN” saw all seats sold out for both Kobe (2 times) and Tokyo (2 times). Fueled by local fans’ passionate support, an additional performance has been confirmed for November 29 in Kobe and December 13 in Tokyo, bringing the total to two more shows.
Thus, 2NE1 will now meet more fans with six total performances scheduled for November 29-30 and December 1 at the Hyogo Kobe World Memorial Hall, and December 13-15 at the Tokyo Ariake Arena.
During their time in Japan, 2NE1 set various records, significantly impacting K-pop history. They were the first foreign artists to top the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with their debut album. Their subsequent two studio albums and three single albums also achieved noteworthy success. Their three tours in Japan were conducted on an unprecedented scale for foreign female artists at the time, garnering significant attention from major local media.
The return of 2NE1 after a decade has undoubtedly excited fans across the archipelago. The ticket pre-sales exploded with demand, and there has been a rush of requests and inquiries for additional performances from fans who were unable to secure tickets initially. Prior to the Japan tour, the Seoul solo concerts also demonstrated overwhelming ticket power, with additional dates selling out and even limited view seats being made available. As these performances mark the complete return of 2NE1, both domestic and international fans are eagerly responding.
YG plans to further expand the tour schedule to meet global fans’ desires, intending to continue engaging with audiences from various countries through next year.
Meanwhile, 2NE1 will kick off their glamorous return as a legendary girl group with the “2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN SEOUL” from October 4 to 6 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park.
