BABYMONSTER Gears Up for Comeback with Massive Debut Full Album Project

YG’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER will begin shooting the music video for their first full-length album starting today.

On September 23, YG Entertainment announced plans to produce several music videos, including the title track for BABYMONSTER’s highly anticipated debut album set for release this fall. The shoot will span multiple locations secured well in advance, with the project benefitting from full-scale support.

This initiative highlights the confidence of YG’s EXECUTIVE PRODUCER YANG HYUN SUK in BABYMONSTER, YG’s next-generation girl group. The efforts emphasize a vigorous promotional strategy for the tracks included in the album.

YG Entertainment stated, “The recording for BABYMONSTER’s first full album has been completed, and we are now in the final stages. We will be shooting music videos for several tracks, all of which have choreography already finalized.”

Previously, BABYMONSTER confirmed their official debut on April 1st with their first mini album ‘BABYMONS7ER.’ The title track ‘SHEESH’ set a record for the fastest K-pop girl group debut song to reach 100 million views in just 10 days. Currently, it is approaching 300 million views. The dance practice video has also surpassed 150 million views, drawing significant popularity.

The popularity of BABYMONSTER began to rise not from standardized promotions but from the focused spotlight on the live capabilities of its seven members. Although ‘SHHESH’ did not initially cause a major impact on major charts, it gained traction and climbed to the top ranks through a reverse trend, thanks to the members’ exceptional live performances.

Before announcing their full album, BABYMONSTER released ‘FOREVER’ on July 1st, a track from the upcoming album, heating up anticipation. They also engaged with fans through global fan meetings across seven cities in Asia, totaling twelve sessions, and marked their prowess at Japan’s largest music festival, Summer Sonic 2024.

YG Entertainment expressed, “We wanted to share the news of the full album release with the many global fans who have supported and awaited BABYMONSTER.
