G-DRAGON Lends Support… YG’s BABYMONSTER Breaks Norms with Bold Pre-Release of New Track ‘CLIK CLAK’

YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER will spark their comeback fervor with the premiere of ‘CLIK CLAK,’ the opening track of their upcoming debut full album ‘DRIP,’ set to release on November 1st.

On October 11th, YG Entertainment unveiled the ‘[DRIP] ‘CLIK CLAK’ PREVIEW’. A video, approximately 1 minute and 20 seconds long, featured a pre-release snippet of the track, presenting an artfully designed lyric video.

This promotional strategy demonstrates a confident departure from the norm. Rather than the usual practice of releasing teasers within 20 seconds, YG has opted to reveal the entire first verse of the song, three weeks before the album’s release, generating a hot response from global music fans.

Previously, YG EXECUTIVE PRODUCER YANG HYUN SUK described ‘CLIK CLAK’ as an original hip-hop track, and from the onset, the beat is anything but ordinary. Over a trendy yet minimal hip-hop beat, the members’ voices, particularly AHYEON and RUKA’s rapping, strike immediately, elevating the listeners’ heart rates with their distinctive styles.

Despite most members being in their teens, the young girl group flawlessly executes the original hip-hop vibe, drawing admiration. The relaxed English lyrics, unique flow, and BABYMONSTER’s musical prowess create a perfect synergy, reaffirming their versatility as ‘all-rounders.’

“’CLIK CLAK’ is the first track where all members have tried their hands at rapping,” YG mentioned. “Each member’s distinct tone and unique style bring a dynamic tension to the track, offering a fresh charm,” hinting at high anticipation for the complete song.

BABYMONSTER will make their comeback at 1 PM on November 1st with their first full album ‘DRIP’, which includes a diverse mix of hip-hop, dance, and pop across nine tracks. Notably, the album’s title track ‘DRIP’ features composition contributions from G-DRAGON, fueling global fan excitement.

YG is continuing the comeback heat with bold promotions fitting for such a massive project, including several music video productions. On October 12th, a snippet of the third track ‘Love, Maybe’ will be released. The remaining tracks will also be sequentially unveiled.
