BABYMONSTER Announces Double Title Track Comeback on November 1st…. A Sudden Decision by YANG HYUN SUK
BABYMONSTER is set to make a comeback with double title tracks. On October 21st, YG Entertainment unveiled the tracklist for BABYMONSTER’s new release.
According to the announcement, BABYMONSTER has finalized the double title track setup, adding the song ‘CLIK CLAK’ as the first track of the album alongside the previously confirmed ‘DRIP’. This marks a vigorous step into their activities, fitting for their debut full-length album.
As per YG, this decision was influenced by YG EXECUTIVE PRODUCER YANG HYUN SUK, who, convinced of the high quality of the choreography and music video for ‘CLIK CLAK’, revised the original plans and made a swift decision.
YANG commented, “We deliberately did not include choreography in the music video, focusing on the essence of the music and the charm possessed by the members, and we are very satisfied with the outcome. Plans to release a performance video are also underway. Expect a stage unlike any seen before.”
With the release of their first full album, BABYMONSTER will meet music fans with rich content, including two music videos, music broadcast activities, and self-produced choreography videos. A meticulously planned activity roadmap promises to imprint their diverse charms through these two title tracks.
The pre-release of the ‘CLIK CLAK’ track has already garnered enthusiastic responses from global music fans, with YouTube views nearing 6 million. The spread of reaction videos, fan-made secondary creations in various languages, and homemade dance challenges indicates the song’s burgeoning popularity.
Additionally, all seven members engaging in rap is an unexpected and bold move, seamlessly blending into the traditional hip-hop genre and continuing to receive high praise for BABYMONSTER’s limitless capabilities.
YG hinted, “About a minute and a half of the ‘CLIK CLAK’ track was pre-released, and the latter half contains an unexpected twist that will heighten anticipation even further.”
It is also noteworthy that less than a year has passed since BABYMONSTER’s debut before announcing their first full album, marking YG’s fastest pace for a debut group to release a full album since BLACKPINK. This highlights the significant effort and dedication YANG HYUN SUK has invested in launching BABYMONSTER, the first girl group in over seven years. His confidence in the album’s unparalleled quality and willingness to produce at least three music videos also point to exciting new announcements to come.
BABYMONSTER has already set new records among K-pop girl groups with their debut album and has proven their excellent live performance skills across various stages, earning them a reputation as a “must-see live performance act.”
From the early planning stages, they trained with a focus on entering the global market, mastering languages including English, Japanese, Thai, and Chinese. Amidst this, YANG HYUN SUK, the executive producer, has announced plans for BABYMONSTER’s global tour next year, raising high expectations.
The complete tracks of BABYMONSTER’s 1st mini album ‘DRIP’ will be released on November 1st at 1 PM.
