BABYMONSTER Selected as Spotify’s RADAR Artist…Set for Global Leap
YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER is joining forces with Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, to expand their global influence. As the group anticipates the release of their debut full album, expectations for a significant surge in popularity are high.
YG Entertainment announced on October 24 that BABYMONSTER has been selected as a ‘RADAR KOREA’ artist by Spotify. The Spotify RADAR campaign is designed to discover and spotlight global rising artists. Previously, it has unearthed world-renowned musicians such as THE KID LAROI, Lauv, Tyla, and Lil Baby early in their careers.
BABYMONSTER will be introduced to global music fans in various ways through Spotify’s tailored campaign. Additionally, the group has a rich lineup of content prepared, including the simultaneous online and offline fan event ‘RADAR LIVE’ in November, member interviews, and behind-the-scenes videos.
Already, BABYMONSTER has achieved over a hundred million streams with tracks like ‘SHEESH’ and ‘BATTER UP’ and has recorded more than 7 million monthly listeners (as of October 2024) on Spotify, proving their exceptional potential. Spotify expressed its anticipation for the group’s future, stating, “We look forward to them continuing to lead the music scene with their amazing musical talent and will continue to provide full support to connect with more listeners.”
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER will make their comeback with their 1st full album [DRIP] on November 1 at 1 PM. The album will feature a total of 9 tracks including the double title tracks ‘DRIP’ and ‘CLIK CLAK.’ They also plan to engage in extensive promotions suitable for a major project, including the production of several music videos and a global tour.
