‘AHYEON’s 3-Stage High Notes’…BABYMONSTER Astounds with Handheld Microphone Vocal Performance
YG rookie girl group BABYMONSTER is set to make a commanding comeback with their first regular album music show performance on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’, reaffirming their impressive live capabilities.
According to YG Entertainment on November 6th, BABYMONSTER will appear on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 10th. This marks the start of their official activities following the successive releases of high-quality YG-produced performance videos. BABYMONSTER, known for creating buzz with each music show appearance, plans to take the stage with handheld microphones once again. Their live performance prowess was previously proven during the release of ‘SHEESH’, which led to a reverse chart sweep across various music charts.
BABYMONSTER will showcase their upgraded capabilities with two dynamic double title tracks. They will debut the dance track ‘DRIP’, a blend of dynamic beats, intense bass sounds, and YG’s signature hip-hop vibe based on EDM, alongside an original hip-hop song ‘CLIK CLAK’, featuring all members trying their hands at rapping, on a music show for the first time.
Following the release of their music videos and performance videos, there has been considerable anticipation for BABYMONSTER’s live performances. Both songs, crafted with top-tier choreographers and featuring compelling point dances, are showing signs of popularity and are expected to elicit strong responses.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER made a comeback with their first full album [DRIP] on November 1st. The album quickly climbed to second place on the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart and secured the top spot in 13 regions on the iTunes Album Chart, along with topping the real-time chart of Japan’s largest streaming site, Line Music’s Album Top 100. The album has been gaining popularity on various global charts.
Their momentum on YouTube is also formidable. ‘DRIP’ shot to first place for ‘Most Viewed Video Within 24 Hours’ upon release, and the pre-released ‘CLIK CLAK’ stayed in the global YouTube Daily Popular Charts TOP10 for four consecutive days. Billboard praised the album, filled with captivating songs, stating, “They splendidly took over this year with their first full album,” and named them the most promising K-pop rookies of 2024.
