BABYMONSTER’s ‘DRIP’ MV Surpasses 100 Million Views, Securing Their Status as the Next YouTube Queens
BABYMONSTER’s title track ‘DRIP’ from their first full album has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube.
According to YG Entertainment, on November 22 at 1:58 PM, the ‘DRIP’ music video exceeded the 100 million view mark, achieving this feat just 21 days after its release.
The video, known for its vibrant colors and artistic direction, perfectly showcases BABYMONSTER’s free-spirited performance, garnering high praise from music fans. Immediately after its release, it shot to number one on YouTube’s ‘Most Viewed Videos in 24 Hours’, consistently ranking in the global YouTube daily chart for 19 consecutive days.
It also made its presence felt on global charts. The ‘DRIP’ track entered the Billboard Global Excl. U.S and Billboard Global 200 charts at number 16 and 30, respectively, marking their highest positions yet. The album featuring this song made its debut at number 149 on the main Billboard 200 chart.
With this, BABYMONSTER now has seven videos exceeding 100 million views, including the music videos for ‘SHEESH’ (300 million), ‘BATTER UP’ (200 million), ‘Stuck In The Middle’ (100 million), ‘FOREVER’ (100 million), along with ‘SHEESH’ performance video (100 million), and ‘LIKE THAT’ exclusive video (100 million).
Another title track, ‘CLIK CLAK’, is rapidly approaching the 100 million view milestone, indicating the potential for new records.
Since releasing their 1st full album ‘DRIP’ on November 1, BABYMONSTER has been sweeping through music shows, radio, and YouTube, receiving favorable responses.
The title track ‘DRIP’ is rapidly climbing the domestic music charts, including Melon TOP 100.
Riding this momentum, the group will kick off their debut world tour on January 25 and 26 at the KSPO DOME in Songpa District, Seoul, before heading to New Jersey and Los Angeles in the United States to expand their global influence.
