BABYMONSTER’s First Full Album Release Pop-Up Store Thrives in Japan
YG Entertainment’s girl group BABYMONSTER’s release of their first full album has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm at their pop-up stores in Japan, drawing passionate support from local fans.
From November 16th to 28th, YG Entertainment is running the ‘SHIBUYA109 x BABYMONSTER AUTUMN CAMPAIGN’ in major shopping malls across Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, and Fukuoka. As part of this campaign, the ‘BABYMONSTER 1st FULL ALBUM [DRIP] POP-UP STORE’ has been opened in these four cities.
The debut of BABYMONSTER’s first full album has sparked significant interest among local fans from the initial announcement, leading to a surge in pre-registrations and a waiting list due to the stores’ capacity being reached quickly. Despite doubling the size of the stores compared to the last fan meeting pop-up, the stores have seen an explosive turnout, with long lines of fans waiting to get in.
Fans have shown high satisfaction with the 52 new merchandise items available. The merchandise range includes acrylic stands and photo charms featuring the members’ portraits, as well as practical items like t-shirts, hoodies, and tote bags, all of which have been well-received. In response to this positive reception, a special limited edition product release has also been announced.
Moreover, the Tokyo pop-up store has been adorned with various attractions, enhancing the fun for visitors. Fans have enjoyed taking memorable photos, from the giant BABYMONSTER posters on the building’s exterior to the photo zones set up inside.
BABYMONSTER is actively promoting their first full album, [DRIP], across various platforms including variety shows, radio, and YouTube. They are also gearing up for their debut world tour starting with concerts in Seoul on January 25th and 26th next year, signaling a promising global rise for the group.
