BABYMONSTER Set to Appear on Japan’s Premier Music Program

YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER is making waves across major terrestrial music programs in Japan, fueling a rising popularity trend.

According to YG Entertainment, BABYMONSTER will appear live on TV Asahi’s ‘Music Station’ on the 29th to perform their lead single ‘DRIP’ from their first full album. This marks another appearance on the iconic Japanese music show, a must-visit for top local artists and global stars alike, boasting a tradition of 38 years.

During their official debut with the album ‘BABYMONS7ER’, BABYMONSTER had already proven their mettle as “monster rookies” with their title track ‘SHEESH’. The overwhelming live performance garnered significant local buzz, setting high expectations for the ‘DRIP’ performance as well.

This time, BABYMONSTER will showcase a Korean version of their performance with handheld microphones, anticipated to captivate the hearts of local music fans with their upgraded skills. They are also set to appear on NHK’s ‘Venue101’ on the 30th and Fuji TV’s ‘Weekly Nainai Music’ on December 11th, kicking off a full-fledged local promotion.

BABYMONSTER has achieved notable success in Japan with their first full album ‘DRIP’, topping the iTunes Japan Top Albums chart and the Line Music Top 100 Real-time Album Chart upon release. They have also ranked highly on major charts like Oricon and Billboard Japan.

A pop-up store celebrating the release of ‘DRIP’ has been drawing large crowds daily in Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, and Fukuoka. The recently confirmed 2025 debut world tour will include performances in four Japanese cities—Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka—underscoring their strong local popularity.

Meanwhile, since the release of their first full album ‘DRIP’ on November 1st, BABYMONSTER has been actively promoting the title track ‘DRIP’, which continues to climb various domestic music charts, including Melon TOP100. Riding this momentum, they will continue to engage with fans through the end of the year with their follow-up song ‘Love In My Heart’.
