BABYMONSTER Conquers Japan’s ‘Music Station,’ They Get to Takeover Japan
YG’s girl group BABYMONSTER delivered an overwhelming live performance on Japan’s premier music show ‘Music Station’, officially kick-starting their activities in the region.
BABYMONSTER appeared live on TV Asahi’s ‘Music Station’ on the 29th, presenting the stage for ‘DRIP,’ one of the double title tracks from their 1st full album [DRIP].
Their unique visuals and confident attitude captured attention immediately upon their appearance. Their natural yet dynamic facial expressions enhanced the viewing pleasure, and particularly, the powerful choreography that filled the stage during the chorus elicited admiration.
Their signature handheld mic live performance also delivered a thrilling sensation at every moment. With solid vocals and speedy rapping that emphasized the moniker ‘monster rookie,’ their enjoyment of the music and relaxed stage presence thoroughly captivated local viewers.
The enhanced performance received explosive responses immediately after the broadcast. Music fans were amazed by their musical abilities to perfectly handle vocals, rap, and dance, and praised them saying, “It definitely felt like a hip-hop vibe fitting of a YG girl group.”
Having successfully decorated their first Japanese music broadcast stage for their 1st full album comeback, they are set to continue making waves by appearing in major local programs. They are scheduled to mark their presence again on NHK’s ‘Venue101’ today (30th) and on Fuji TV’s ‘Weekly Nainai Music’ on December 11th.
BABYMONSTER will start their debut first world tour ‘2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR ‘HELLO MONSTERS’ in Seoul this January. Furthermore, they are expected to interact with fans through 11 shows in four cities including Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka in March and April, thereby significantly enhancing their influence in the local music market.
