BABYMONSTER Expands First World Tour to Asia, Kicking Off at the Gymnastics Stadium
K-pop group BABYMONSTER is set to expand their debut world tour to encompass a broader Asian audience, thus widening their global footprint.
YG Entertainment announced today additional dates for BABYMONSTER’s first world tour, ‘HELLO MONSTERS’ IN ASIA. According to the schedule, the group will perform on May 17 in Singapore, May 24 in Hong Kong, and June 7 and 8 in Bangkok, totaling four performances.
With these dates, BABYMONSTER will meet fans in 10 cities over 19 performances. Previously, they fast-tracked into the Seoul KSPO DOME (formerly Olympic Gymnastics Arena) with dates on January 25 and 26, followed by tour dates in Newark and Los Angeles in the US, and Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka in Japan.
This tour comes after last year’s Asian fan meeting tour, which increased their local engagement. The group is expected to showcase an upgraded performance with a vibrant set list ranging from tracks of their debut album ‘DRIP’ to solo stages, all enhanced by the dynamic sound of a live band.
YG Entertainment expressed gratitude for the fans’ ongoing support, stating, “In response to the love you’ve shown, we decided to host this Asia tour. The members are eager to connect with fans worldwide, so expect us to visit many more areas beyond the announced schedule.”
BABYMONSTER has been actively promoting since the release of their first full album ‘DRIP’ last year, receiving global acclaim for their diverse musical styles through their double title tracks ‘DRIP’ and ‘CLIK CLAK’, and their follow-up song ‘Love In My Heart’.
With the upcoming release of the music video for ‘Really Like You’, the group’s popularity is expected to continue soaring.
