BABYMONSTER Captivates with High Teen Charm in ‘Really Like You’ MV
YG’s girl group BABYMONSTER has once again targeted the hearts of global fans with the refreshing and vibrant charm of their ‘Really Like You’ music video, delivering a delightful flutter of excitement.
Released on January 17, the music video for ‘Really Like You’ features various school settings such as classrooms, hallways, and a gymnasium, showcasing the members of BABYMONSTER. Dressed in school uniforms, the members engage in everyday activities like taking Polaroid pictures and chatting, capturing the hearts of viewers with their natural charm. Their youthful visuals and richly expressive acting shine throughout the video. The storyline, filled with relatable moments of excitement and nervousness when thinking about a crush, has been praised for its engaging and delicate portrayal of emotions.
The lovely mood of the song is enhanced by a tasteful direction. The overall bright and warm color palette of the video creates a cozy atmosphere, while kitschy animated effects like doodles in CHIQUITA’s diary, flowers, hearts, and stars are cleverly used to add to the viewing pleasure.
The dance moves revealed along with the video have also received positive reactions. The choreography includes adorable gestures such as drawing hearts with fingers and shooting arrows of love during the chorus, adding a catchy addiction that has been warmly received alongside previous music videos.
Notably, at the end of the music video, content from the regular album [DRIP] track ‘BILLIONAIRE’ was teased, raising anticipation. With the ‘Really Like You’ and previously released videos, BABYMONSTER continues to receive acclaim for their limitless concept versatility and charismatic appeal, increasing interest in the forthcoming reveal of ‘BILLIONAIRE’.
