BABYMONSTER Heats Up Osaka… Sold-Out Shows Again and Limited-View Seats Opened
In the midst of their debut Japanese tour, BABYMONSTER set the city of Osaka ablaze as their third stop.
On April 3rd and 4th, BABYMONSTER held their “2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR ‘HELLO MONSTERS’ IN JAPAN” at the Aste Arena in Osaka, Japan. Despite being weekdays, the initially available seats sold out, prompting the opening of limited-view seating, drawing an impressive crowd of over 20,000 attendees, thus proving their formidable local popularity.
BABYMONSTER kicked off the concert with the title track from their debut album, ‘DRIP’, followed by a hit parade including ‘BATTER UP’, ‘CLIK CLAK’, ‘LIKE THAT’, and ‘SHEESH’, which sent energy levels through the roof. Their unique live performances combined with the immersive band sound created a synergy that truly rocked the audience’s hearts.
The group’s debut narrative was deeply embedded in their solo stages as well. The members showcased their upgraded talents from emotive ballads to powerful rap, proving the endless potential of these ‘monster rookies’. They also reinterpreted hits by 2NE1 in their own style, showcasing the depth of the YG girl group lineage.
As it was their first meeting with Osaka fans, BABYMONSTER poured their relentless passion into the performance. With rich facial expressions and relaxed gestures, they heightened the engagement, roaming freely across the stage to interact closely with fans. During talk time, they communicated warmly using the Kansai dialect, drawing laughter and smiles from the local audience.
In response, the fans gave standing ovations, sang along, and surprised BABYMONSTER with an event celebrating their first anniversary. “Thanks to MONSTIEZ (fandom name), we could celebrate our first anniversary. Let’s continue to create many more memorable days together,” BABYMONSTER expressed, “We are thrilled to perform in Osaka and hope this becomes a special memory for everyone.”
This performance marks the halfway point of their first Japan tour, spanning 4 cities and 12 shows. BABYMONSTER is expected to set a new record for the shortest time to draw 100,000 attendees on a K-pop girl group’s Japan tour. The upcoming shows in Kanagawa and Fukuoka are set to continue this heat, with additional performances confirmed and exclusive live streaming on the local OTT platform, ‘Hulu’.
