Rising Global Stars BABYMONSTER to Perform at Japan’s ‘SUMMER SONIC’ for the Second Consecutive Year with High-Quality Live Stage
BABYMONSTER, one of the hottest rising groups in Japan, is set to heat up the local scene even further by performing on the stage of the country’s largest music festival.
According to YG Entertainment on the 18th, BABYMONSTER is scheduled to perform at ‘SUMMER SONIC 2025,’ taking place on August 16 at the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Osaka, Japan. This marks the group’s second consecutive year appearing at the festival, following their debut appearance last year.
‘SUMMER SONIC’ is a major urban music festival in Japan, featuring not only top local artists but also globally renowned musicians. BABYMONSTER will be performing alongside international stars such as Alicia Keys and Camila Cabello, once again proving their global influence and growing presence in the music industry.
Particularly notable is the anticipation for BABYMONSTER’s performance, given their flawless, professional stage presence last year that sparked an explosive reaction from global fans despite being rookies. Having since honed their live performance skills through large-scale fan meetings and a world tour, the group is expected to once again ignite excitement across Japan.
Even before officially debuting in Japan, BABYMONSTER is already showing immense impact on the local music market. With their first Japan tour, they’re projected to break records by drawing in over 100,000 fans, the most ever for a K-pop girl group’s Japan debut tour. Recently, they’ve also taken part in major local projects such as the ‘Sony Park展 2025’ Part 2 collaboration with Google Pixel, signaling their early entry into prominent industry partnerships.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is currently on their debut world tour, ‘HELLO MONSTERS.’ They are set to wrap up their first Japan tour with finale concerts in Fukuoka on the 19th and 20th, before heading off to meet fans across Asia and North America in a total of 32 shows across 20 cities.
