YG’s New Member EVELLI Hits 10 Million Views Before Debut… Rising as a Promising ‘All-Rounder’
EVELLI, the first member introduced from their upcoming girl group, is already making waves globally with her impressive skills and hip-hop swagger, hinting at a major breakout even before her official debut.
According to YG Entertainment on June 4, the video titled “Nosebleeds” featuring trainee EVELLI, uploaded to the ‘YG NEXT MONSTER’ channel, surpassed 10 million views around 1 a.m. that day. It achieved this in just one week since its release on May 28, with over 150,000 new subscribers joining the channel.
For a trainee who hasn’t even debuted yet, such a milestone is highly unusual. It reflects the explosive global interest in YG’s new girl group, expected to follow in the footsteps of BLACKPINK, who have become global superstars, and BABYMONSTER, who are emerging as the next-generation leaders in K-pop.
Following the video’s release, EVELLI’s fully polished performance has received an enthusiastic response. Fans are praising her solid rap skills, trendy vocal tone, and a stage presence that’s hard to believe for someone so young, all while maintaining a charming, lovable visual. Expectations are already high for her official debut.
YG previously confirmed that the new girl group will consist of four members. With Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK boldly stating that the lineup will be determined solely by talent and public reaction, curiosity is mounting about who the other three members will be.
EVELLI, a 15-year-old trainee from Australia, is the first officially introduced member of the new group. She’s growing into a true “all-rounder” artist, with strong vocal and rap abilities, and fluency in Korean, English, and Spanish.
