BABYMONSTER Pays Homage to Seotaiji and Boys’ First Album with ‘HOT SAUCE’ Teaser

2025.06.24

BABYMONSTER has heightened anticipation by dropping the first teaser featuring a snippet of their new track “HOT SAUCE.”

On June 24, YG Entertainment unveiled the moving logo teaser for BABYMONSTER’s upcoming song “HOT SAUCE” through their official social media. What stood out was the font used for “HOT SAUCE.” It’s an homage to the font from the debut album of Seotaiji and Boys in 1992, fitting, as YG EXECUTIVE PRODUCER YANG HYUN SUK, the founder of BABYMONSTER, debuted in that very group.

BABYMONSTER’s new track, which hints at an old-school hip-hop sound from the 1980s, resonates with the nostalgic vibes of the 1992 Seotaiji and Boys’ debut album font, perfectly aligning with their concept and sparking retro sentiment.

BABYMONSTER has consistently showcased versatility by experimenting with various genres in every album. With “HOT SAUCE,” expectations are high for what new style and cross-generational hip-hop vibes BABYMONSTER will deliver this time around.

BABYMONSTER is set to make their comeback on July 1 at 6 PM with the pre-release single “HOT SAUCE.” Previously, YANG HYUN SUK shared a preview of the 2025 roadmap, describing the track as “a highly addictive hip-hop song reminiscent of the late 1980s, prepared as a gift to make your summer more enjoyable.”

Staying true to that promise, “HOT SAUCE” marks their return after eight months, kicking off a packed schedule for the latter half of the year. Alongside this, the group is in the midst of their debut world tour, spanning 32 shows across 20 cities worldwide. BABYMONSTER will continue their momentum with a second single in September and the release of their mini album in October.
