BABYMONSTER’s ‘HOT SAUCE’ Dance Practice Video Drops July 4, Global Fans Excited
As BABYMONSTER makes their comeback with the new track ‘HOT SAUCE’, a dance practice video showcasing the raw charm of the choreography will be released at midnight on July 4.
YG Entertainment announced this through a teaser poster uploaded to their official blog on the 3rd. Featuring a retro crumpled-paper texture, the colorful LED-style logo and the phrase “ARE YOU READY?” hint at the group’s explosive performance to come.
This marks their first dance practice video in about a year and six months since their pre-debut track ‘BATTER UP’. Since it will also unveil the full choreography not seen in the ‘HOT SAUCE’ music video, global fans are highly anticipating its release.
BABYMONSTER’s playful energy is expected to shine through with their dynamic arm movements and point gestures that cleverly express the “spicy” theme. A YG representative stated, “We decided to release the dance practice video to showcase all the captivating elements that couldn’t be fully captured in the music video,” and asked fans for their attention.
‘HOT SAUCE’ is a dance track that reinterprets 1980s old-school hip-hop in BABYMONSTER’s unique style. The members’ refreshing vocals, fast-paced and solid rapping, bright brass sections, and rhythmic drum beats blend together to deliver a highly addictive summer song.
The music video has been well received for its vibrant summer vibe and the members’ charm in perfectly executing the old-school hip-hop concept. Upon release, it ranked No. 1 on YouTube’s “Most Viewed Videos in 24 Hours” chart and continues to gain traction.
BABYMONSTER will kick off a range of activities this week, including performances on music shows. They’ve also laid out a packed second-half schedule, with a second pre-release track in September and the release of their mini-album in October. Starting in August, the group will take the stage at Japan’s largest music festival ‘Summer Sonic’ and head out on their second North American tour, visiting Toronto, Rosemont, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Oakland, and Seattle, further expanding their global reach.
