Girl group BABYMONSTER has surpassed 10 million YouTube subscribers. It marks the fastest record ever for a K-pop girl group. According to YG Entertainment on the 9th, the number of subscribers to BABYMONSTER’s official YouTube channel surpassed 10 million at around 1:16 PM on this day. It has been about 1 year and 5 months since their official debut on April 1, 2024, making it the fastest time to reach this milestone among all K-pop girl groups based on debut date.
With this, BABYMONSTER now holds the third-highest number of subscribers among K-pop girl groups. As a rookie girl group just entering their second year since debut, this is a highly unusual
achievement. It suggests that their influence on YouTube, the core of the global music market, and the expansion speed of their global fandom are both remarkable.
This result was achieved despite not carrying out any separate album promotions, simply by steadily generating buzz and attracting new subscribers. Furthermore, the release of BABYMONSTER’s first reality content ‘BABYMON HOUSE’ on the 5th served as a catalyst, showing a steep upward trend, which is expected to accelerate their rise in popularity.
Not only subscriber count, but also view count reinforces their status as the ‘next-generation YouTube queens.’ The group has released a total of 11 videos with over 10 million views, and their cumulative view count has already far exceeded 5.4 billion. From music videos to performance videos and behind-the-scenes content, each consistently garners several hundred thousand to millions of views.
BABYMONSTER will release their 2nd mini album on October 10. This album will include four songs: the title track ‘WE GO UP’, along with ‘PSYCHO’, ‘SUPA DUPA LUV’, and ‘WILD.’ The title track ‘WE GO UP’ is a powerful, hip-hop-based song containing the group’s determination to soar even higher, raising expectations for a strong response from fans.
