BABYMONSTER’s “Really Like You” Climbs Music Charts Amid Viral Challenge Craze
BABYMONSTER’s track “Really Like You,” included on their full-length album [DRIP], is climbing major domestic and international music charts, fueled by the song’s growing popularity through a viral challenge.
According to YG Entertainment on the 21st, “Really Like You” ranked No. 77 on YouTube Korea’s Weekly Popular Songs Chart (Jan. 9–15, 2026). This marks a rare chart resurgence for a B-side track from an album released approximately one year and two months ago.
The song’s upward momentum is not limited to YouTube. Across major streaming platforms, its rise has been particularly notable. On Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Korea chart, the track jumped an impressive 47 spots, while also recording gains across three Circle Chart weekly rankings, Global K-pop, Digital, and Streaming. In addition, the song reached No. 12 on Apple Music and continues to set new personal bests on both domestic and global daily charts, including Melon and VIBE.
The chart resurgence was triggered by a viral challenge trend. A performance video of “Really Like You,” first showcased during BABYMONSTER’s Japan fan concert last December, began circulating online. A point choreography featuring hand gestures forming an “O” shape in sync with the lyrics, along with cute motions expressing fluttering emotions, quickly caught on and evolved into a widespread challenge. The trend has since attracted participation not only from countless K-pop fans, but also from fellow artists.
From January 11 to 15, “Really Like You” topped TikTok Korea’s Music Viral 50 chart for five consecutive days. As of now, it continues to rank at the top of both the Viral 50 and Rising 50 charts. The number of TikTok posts using the song has also surpassed 100,000 as of the 21st, underscoring its sustained popularity.
BABYMONSTER recently surpassed 11 million official YouTube subscribers in the shortest time ever for a K-pop girl group, further cementing their status as the “next-generation YouTube queens.” At the end of last year, their official performance videos from Mnet’s “MAMA” and SBS’s “Gayo Daejeon” topped viewership rankings, leaving a strong impression with their overwhelming presence. With the added momentum of the New Year’s challenge craze, even greater attention is now focused on BABYMONSTER’s activities in 2026.
