BABYMONSTER’s “WE GO UP” Becomes Their 7th Video to Surpass 200 Million Views
Group BABYMONSTER has added another record on YouTube.
On March 9th, according to the group’s agency YG ENTERTAINMENT, the music video for BABYMONSTER’s 2nd mini album title track “WE GO UP” surpassed 200 million views on YouTube at approximately 2:01 p.m. that day. It achieved this milestone in just 150 days since its release on October 10 last year.
The “WE GO UP” music video was praised for its cinematic visuals and direction, reminiscent of a sci-fi movie. The narrative that amplifies the song’s intensity, the visually engaging action scenes, and the members’ ability to embody their respective characters all garnered positive responses.
Upon release, the video immediately ranked No.1 on YouTube’s “Most Viewed Videos in 24 Hours” and Trending Worldwide. It also became the fastest K-pop music video released last year to surpass 100 million views on YouTube.
With this, BABYMONSTER now has a total of seven videos exceeding 200 million views. Not only the “WE GO UP” music video, but its Exclusive Performance Video is also steadily heading toward 200 million views.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER will release a mini album in May with the title track “CHOOM”. Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK previously stated, “It will be a completely new album, unlike anything we’ve shown before.” Additionally, BABYMONSTER will embark on a larger-scale second world tour across South America, Europe, and Oceania starting in June.
