YG to Hold Large-Scale Global Auditions for the First Time in Two Years…Set to Discover New Talent

YG Entertainment is holding large-scale global auditions for the first time in two years.

On the 22nd, YG Entertainment announced that it will hold the ‘2026 YG GLOBAL AUDITION’ from July to December.

The audition successfully kicked off in Beijing, China, on the 19th. It will then move on to Chengdu (July 25), Shanghai (August 1), Shenzhen (August 9), and Tokyo, Japan (August 9), followed by Osaka (September 20). Starting in October, auditions will continue in various regions around the world, including the United States, Taiwan and Hong Kong, followed by Thailand and Canada in November, and Australia and New Zealand in December, as YG seeks to discover global talent.

Anyone born between 2008 and 2015 may apply for this audition, regardless of gender or nationality. Applicants may participate by choosing the category they are most confident in among vocal, rap, dance and visual, while the application fields have been further expanded from previous years to include acting and special talents.

Whether advance registration or on-site registration is available may vary by city. Details including audition venues and schedules will be released sequentially through the YG audition website and official social media channels.

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment has introduced artists such as BIGBANG, 2NE1, BLACKPINK, WINNER, iKON, TREASURE and BABYMONSTER. With YG Entertainment now setting out to discover new artists, expectations are growing over what kind of talent will emerge.
