BABYMONSTER Makes a Striking Transformation into Vampires… Shoots Straight to No. 1 on YouTube Trending
BABYMONSTER transformed into captivating vampires in the music video for their new song “MOON,” bringing the three-month-long large-scale project to a spectacular finale.
Unveiled on August 3, the music video for “MOON,” a track from the third mini album [CHOOM], conceptually captures the song’s distinctive mystical atmosphere and is receiving an explosive response from global fans. Driven by its mysterious narrative unfolding beneath a blood-red full moon and cinematic direction reminiscent of a film, the video shot straight to No. 1 on YouTube’s Worldwide Trending chart immediately after its release.
The music video vividly brings BABYMONSTER’s unique horror fantasy to life. From the members awakening inside coffins to their sharp fangs and transformations into bats, objects symbolizing the vampire universe heighten the chilling, dreamlike beauty. In particular, the members exude dark charisma in black-and-red styling, delivering not only flawless facial expressions but also thrilling, high-difficulty action sequences involving weapons and soaring through the air, creating an overwhelming sense of immersion.
With this, BABYMONSTER has demonstrated the diversity of their musical world by sequentially unveiling a total of four music videos: beginning with the title track “CHOOM,” followed by the cool and stylish “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA,” the lovely “I LIKE IT,” and the dark fantasy-themed “MOON.” As all three previous videos topped YouTube’s Worldwide Trending chart and swept the “Most Viewed Videos in 24 Hours” ranking, expectations are also rising for the long-term success of “MOON,” which stands out with its unconventional concept.
Meanwhile, YG ENTERTAINMENT further fueled the momentum by making a surprise release of the teaser poster for the “MOON” performance video. The performance video, which promises a highly addictive quality through intuitive choreography depicting the moon in time with the chorus lyric “I’m the moon,” will be released at midnight on August 5.
