BABYMONSTER Packs Japan’s KYOCERA DOME OSAKA with 90,000 Fans…First-Ever Show Sells Out, Proving Their “Ticket Power”

BABYMONSTER proved their ticket-selling power in Japan by selling out every seat for their first-ever appearance at KYOCERA DOME OSAKA.

BABYMONSTER held “2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [춤 (CHOOM)] IN JAPAN SPECIAL LIVE AT KYOCERA DOME OSAKA” at KYOCERA DOME OSAKA in Japan on September 22 and 23, drawing a total audience of 90,000 over the two days.

A total of 200,000 fans attended the group’s Japan tour, which began in Kobe in July and comprised 11 shows across six cities, demonstrating the tour’s immense popularity. In particular, the finale of the KYOCERA DOME OSAKA concerts was broadcast live on WOWOW, Japan’s largest satellite television broadcaster, bringing the excitement of the venue to viewers at home.

As soon as the show began, the entire audience rose to their feet and welcomed the members with cheers that reverberated through the dome. From the opening song “WE GO UP,” BABYMONSTER instantly captivated the crowd with the powerful sound of a full live band, unwavering live vocals delivered through handheld microphones, and commanding performances.

They went on to perform mega-hits “SHEESH” and “DRIP,” each of which has surpassed 100 million cumulative streams in Japan, as well as the title track and other songs from their third mini album [춤 (CHOOM)], clearly establishing the distinctive identity of this world tour.

With the group taking the stage at a dome, often called a “dream venue”, the setlist was richer than ever. From “Ghost,” their first original Japanese song, to the viral sleeper hit “REALLY LIKE YOU” and their latest song “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA,” they showcased an even broader musical spectrum spanning a wide range of genres. The members also presented solo stages that highlighted each of their individual charms, proving their all-around abilities across vocals, rap, and performance.

YG Entertainment’s signature production expertise also shone throughout the show. The grand, visually striking stage set made full use of the dome’s vast scale, while cinematic VCR segments and a range of special effects, including lasers, pyrotechnics, and fog, heightened the dramatic atmosphere. The waves of light sticks changing colors in time with the music created yet another breathtaking spectacle.

Their close interaction with fans also drew attention. All the members communicated fluently in Japanese throughout the concert without interpreters and built an even stronger connection with the audience through witty remarks delivered in the Osaka dialect. During the encore, they rode moving carts closer to the audience and made eye contact with fans one by one. In response to the fans’ enthusiastic support, they even performed a second encore, pouring all their energy into the show until the very last moment.

With this, BABYMONSTER once again demonstrated their remarkable growth in Japan. Beginning with 46,000 attendees at their first fan meeting in 2024, followed by 250,000 in 2025 and another 200,000 this year, their cumulative attendance for tours in Japan has now approached 500,000. After setting a new record during their first Japan tour last year by drawing 150,000 fans in the shortest period ever for a K-pop girl group, they have now conquered a dome stage just two years and five months after their debut, firmly establishing their presence.

The members were also moved to tears as they took the stage they had long dreamed of. ASA and RUKA, who are both from Japan, said, “From the very first moment onstage, we felt so overwhelmed that we thought we might cry. Seeing the fans fill every seat made us realize once again just how many people love us.”

They added, “Every one of these moments is possible thanks to all our fans, who have always supported us without wavering. We hope to continue moving forward with you and create even more wonderful memories together,” expressing their heartfelt gratitude.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER, who launched their second world tour, “2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [춤 (CHOOM)],” with a Seoul concert in June, has confirmed an additional show in Hong Kong on January 10 next year in response to the enthusiastic support of their fans. They are set to continue their global journey with a total of 30 shows in 18 cities across five continents, Asia, Oceania, South America, North America, and Europe.
