BABYMONSTER and TREASURE Comebacks, Followed by Debuts of Two Rookie Groups…YANG HYUN SUK Unveils YG’s 2027 Roadmap

YG Entertainment’s Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK has revealed plans ranging from the release schedules for BABYMONSTER and TREASURE’s new songs to the debuts of new groups.

On October 14, YG Entertainment published “FROM YG,” written personally by Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK, on its official blog. The post detailed BABYMONSTER and TREASURE’s upcoming activities as well as the progress being made toward the debuts of new groups. This marks approximately five months since Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK last personally discussed the artists’ activity plans in an interview video released in late April.

BABYMONSTER will begin its activities for the second half of the year by releasing the digital single “DESERVE” on October 23. Describing the new song, Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK said, “Although it is a slow song, it carries more powerful energy than any song the group has released to date,” adding, “BABYMONSTER’s signature delicate vocals and explosive vocal prowess come together to capture emotions at their peak, and I hope it will deeply move all of you.”

Plans for BABYMONSTER’s new album were also revealed. BABYMONSTER is currently holding its second world tour, “2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM].” The tour consists of 31 shows across 18 cities on five continents. Alongside the world tour, the group will release a new song this month, followed by a new album early next year.

TREASURE will return with the digital single “SHOCK” on November 2. Having pursued a musical transformation by making every track on its mini album “NEW WAV,” released this past June, a hip-hop song, TREASURE will continue in the same direction with its upcoming release. Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK said, “TREASURE is making its biggest change yet in musical direction,” introducing the new single “SHOCK” as another song featuring a powerful hip-hop sound.

Starting with this new song, TREASURE plans to continue its activities through 2027. Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK said, “I ask for your continued anticipation and support for TREASURE’s full-fledged Act 2 activities, which will begin with this new song and continue into 2027.”

An update was also provided on the debut preparations for the two rookie groups being developed by YG. YG previously announced plans to debut a five-member boy group and a four-member girl group. Regarding the rookie groups, Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK said, “Both groups are extremely important artists who will lead the future of YG alongside TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, and I am also devoting my utmost effort to them.”

Both rookie groups plan to record the demo tracks currently in preparation by the end of this year. Their specific debut dates will be finalized after their title tracks have been selected. Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK said, “At the end of this year, I will return through a YG ANNOUNCEMENT video with more exciting and welcome news,” adding, “I sincerely thank all the fans around the world who continue to believe in and patiently wait for YG artists.”

Accordingly, YG plans to move forward with the releases of new music and subsequent activities by BABYMONSTER and TREASURE while accelerating debut preparations for the five-member boy group and the four-member girl group tentatively known as “NEXT MONSTER.” Building on the activities of its existing artists and the debut plans for its rookie groups, YG is expected to expand its artist lineup in 2027.
